What is the linear regression equation for the data?

An instructor at Ball State University. I asked a random sample of eight students to record their study time in the beginning statistics course. She then made a table for the total hours studied, x, more than two weeks, and qualification test, and at the end of two weeks. These are the results: x / 10, 15, 12, 20, 8, 16, 14 and 22. And it is / 92, 81, 84, 74, 85, 80, 84, & 80. I'm to put in x first list L1 and L2 Y. When you plot, my research suggests a strong inverse correlation. What am I doing wrong. According to the table, more study, the worse your score would be. Please help me understand what I'm doing wrong. Thank you!

I am the same result. Please be understood that a of the great concept of regression analysis is that the y = ax + b does not imply any relationship of cause and effect. This means that even where there is a strong relationship between the variables. This does not imply that the ratio of Y is due to the occurrence of X. The cause-effect relationship needed to be identified by another method. (One of the reasons, negative relationship may not understand the material students need to have more time to digest the material, but they are required to achieve a greater degree in the test because you may still have a lot of material yet to be digested. This ratio is by observation rather than calculation.) There is a famous story in the regression analysis. A person's personal income increases each year. Due to the fashion trend, people like to keep long hair. Then, as time goes, hair person also increase every year. Thus, if we put the personal income as Y and the length of hair as X to build a regression model. Then also a strong positive correlation. But is it implied that my long hair is the reason for increasing individual income ......... Although it is a joke good enough to let you know the deficiency of the regression model.
